Also going by the title Eiyū Densetsu Sen no Kiseki (英雄伝説 閃の軌跡), The Legend of Heroes: Trials in the Flash is the next RPG installment in Nihon Falcom’s Legend of Heroes series set for release on both Playstation 3 and Vita platforms this September in Japan. While no international release plans have been confirmed, the game does have some links to Trails in the Sky which was localized and published by XSEED Games and Ghostlight.
The most recent information unveiled on the game is in regards to Thors Military Academy which will serve as one of the key locales in the game – and may very well appeal to those who enjoyed the school aspects of Persona 3/4, Fate//Extra etc.
Main School Building
Located in the center of the campus is the U-shaped main school builing which is home to the first and second year classrooms, faculty room, infirmary, computer room and other specialized classrooms. It is also possible to go out onto the rooftop and enjoy the view.
Gymnasium
In another part of the campus is the Gymnasium, which will serve as a key area for training. The building plays host to martial arts training facilities, an indoor pool (Pictured above), gym, changing rooms for both male and female students, shooting ranges and areas for honing tactics.
Student Services
On the first floor of the student services building you will be able to access the tuckshop and school store services. The second floor provide access to the student council and cultural club rooms while additional floors provide services to nobler students.
Technology Services
While it may look a bit more run-down than most of the campus, it is where all engineering-work (eg. management, maintenance etc) of the school is handled.
School Hall
As you will find in pretty much any school-based game, Thors Military Academy has a sizable school hall that can hold the entire school body within it during formal and not so formal events.
Library
Another obligatory inclusion for any school, and one that in video games seems pretty much underused. This library boasts a sizable collection of books amassed over 200 years and also has ample study space for the students.
School Grounds
Obviously as the school is on land, this means there is some space outside the buildings. The sizable plots of land available within school grounds often provide room for students to conduct mock combat training and other exercises. The school also boasts a number of clubs including equestrian training and lacrosse.
Old School Building
On the outskirts of the academy is an old building which built long ago now plays host to strange phenomena and as you can see in the preview image above…. quite a few opportunities to undertake combat practice.
