The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash – Battle Previews

Late last week we were given a tour around Thors Military Academy, one of the main settings of Nihon Falcom’s upcoming RPG release The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash (Aka: Eiyū Densetsu Sen no Kiseki / 英雄伝説 閃の軌跡). One of the last stops on this tour was the Old School Building which built long ago now plays home to a number of strange phenomena and seemingly plays host to the games dungeon-crawling and battle system elements.

Dengeki Online have recently shared some preview videos of the game from a demo version showcased at an event for the title which took place earlier this month. In it we get a look at the games general battle mechanics as well as individual glimpses at six of the playable characters and their different attack styles and “craft” skills.

Unfortunately no international release plans for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash have been confirmed as of this post.

  1. I heard nothing but great things about Trails in the Sky for PSP, but – being on PSP – I of course skipped it. I’m hoping this one makes it’s way over to the West. In fact, I’d bet it’s high on the list of priority for XSeed/Marvelous USA. I mean, them and Falcom have been doing really cool things lately, and Falcom has seemingly been reminded of the importance of putting their games on non-PSP platforms and reaching the REST of their fans after XSeed got ’em to bring Ys to Steam. So seriously; if this doesn’t eventually make it’s way here, I’d be really shocked.

Even though it looks super different. Having grown up on SNES and PSX RPG’s, I loved the “sprites on 3D backgrounds” look of TitS. Wow; Trails in the Sky does not make for the nicest acronym 🙂
