As of late last year, the Japanese development studio GUST Corporation has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Tecmo Koei Games. Back last month it was reported by Siliconera that Tecmo Koei’s Vice President Hisashi Koinuma hinted at the demand for an Atelier themed Dynasty Warriors-style game. While we are still seemingly far off from “Atelier Warriors” (an idea I myself would be interested to hear more about), they have confirmed that Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate will feature a cross-over.
Of the few characters that managed to cross over all three installments in the Alchemists of Arland trilogy, Sterkenburg “Sterk” Cranach was one of them. He will be the sole character appearing as a cross-over and he will appear in the same attire as he had Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland. Upon completion of a mission, he makes his way back to Arland only to find himself caught in a space-time distortion and plopped in the same world that Warriors Orochi takes place.
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is currently in development by the Omega Force studio and is set for release on both the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita in Japan on the 26th September 2013.
