In the latest announcements made for Gust’s impending launch of Ateleir Escha & Logy, the company have confirmed that two more familiar faces will be making their way into the game from Atelier Ayesha – although it doesn’t seem like either will be playable.
The first character is Nio Altugle, who in Atelier Ayesha went missing and was the inspiration for her sisters travels. After being rescued at the end of the game she has since become a travelling apothecary however decides to stay put after arriving in Kolseit. She has however been separated from her sister. The second character is Harry Olson who while having left his previous company in the hands of a successor, still retains his passion for exploration, research and rare items.
In addition to Nio and Harry, we also have two new characters announced, both of whom also seem to be secondary non-party characters (Of course the obligatory DLC character releases may change this). The first character is Clone an automaton like Odelia who runs an apple orchard and since she was a close friend of Escha’s mother does play a role in ensuring Escha is looked after. The second of the two characters is Flameu, who is a mysterious floating girl who resides within a ruin. She seems to be a rather promising character.
In addition to these announcements, Gust also released a bunch of new screenshots for the game which detail not only the new characters but other elements of the game as well. This included a set of two screenshots which showcase another previously announced returning character – Linca – in battle. Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is set to launch in Japan on the 27th June 2013 exclusively for the Playstation 3. No international release has been confirmed by either Tecmo Koei or Nippon Ichi Software America and E3 2013 passed without the company making any mention of this title.
