You may recall the 2012 Playstation Portable title Conception: Please Give Birth To My Child!, which developed by Spike Chunsoft had you not so literally giving birth to your sizable 13-member party. Turns out the company were impressed enough with sales and reception to warrant a second title to be named “Conception II: Guidance of Seven Stars and Muzzle’s Nightmare”.
You may have seen in my last article that Spike Chunsoft released their very first teaser trailer for the sequel (See: Conception II: Guidance of Seven Stars and Muzzle’s Nightmare – Teaser Trailer), but at the same time they have also released six screenshots from the game which seem to have been also sourced from the Playstation Vita edition of the game.
Unlike the first Conception game, Conception II is a multiplatform title which makes the jump to both the Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS portable gaming consoles. It is set to go live in Japan on the 22nd August 2013 with no current plans for any form of international launch. Given there are companies such as Gaijinworks who still seem to be dedicated to releasing some of the great JRPG’s that never made it to international stores…. maybe we might still see the series over here.
