Codemasters have confirmed that their latest racing game “Grid 2” is now available for purchase at retail stores – including in both Australia and New Zealand.

Grid 2 brings a number of new “ground-breaking” features from its predecessor (Race Driver: Grid). These include the all-new TrueFeel system that delivers edge-of-control racing without the need for assists, LiveRoutes are set to challenge players to race on circuits which dynamically change during the race – alongside the obvious improvements to the overall aesthetic and design appeal of the title.

As the game hits store shelves, the companies RaceNet hub has moved out of beta to launch in full. This is claimed to be the beating heart of Grid 2’s multiplayer component, adding a sizable suite of new functionality including delivering players new objectives and rivals each week to give gamers a new challenge. Players can also earn RaceNet Followers for their performance in-game, can upload clips of their best overtakes and most spectacular crashes to Youtube for display via the service. Sign-up’s for the service alone are free HERE.
