As a huge supporter of organizations such as the Starlight Children’s Foundation, I must admit this is one of those times where I am proud to call myself a part of the Australian gaming community. The team at EB Games Australia have today confirmed that they were able to raise what can only be described as an incredible $550,000 (Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars) for the children’s charity during Starlight Week 2013.
Starlight Week was kicked off in 400 EB Games stores across Australia between the 29th April and 5th May 2013, with the company hosting in-store competitions, a 25 hour gaming challenging in their Swanston Street store and collecting donations which raised that amount of money towards the overall $1.5 Million target for Starlight Day 2013 (That is more than a third of the charities target just by gamers alone!). This relationship between EB Games Australia and the Starlight Foundation began in 2007, with donations of gaming consoles to update the Starlight Express Rooms around the country and soon blossomed as the fundraising efforts began.

EB Games are a wonderful partner of Starlight.
