While the gap of a month may have heralded in the end of DLC content for the Playstation 3 edition of The Idolm@ster 2, it seems like they have made the jump from monthly DLC set release releases to bimonthly.
In the seventeenth set for the game, we are treated to two brand new EXTEND costumes – the Exotic Chinese dress and an outfit described as resembling the Egret Waterfowl. While we have two brand new EXTEND costumes, we have no new designs for the three standard outfit types. The accessories are based on a “Pearl White” theme for each the necklace, bangle and garter – and as their usual free accessory they have thrown in a H.M.D. or Head Mounted Display for your characters to wear during their performances. The new song previewed in the above trailer is titled 9:02pm
Separate costume and accessory packs can be purchased, and acquiring all DLC content in this release will net you the 765 Company Slippers.
While there is a considerable chance that The Idolm@ster 2 will never get its chance to shine on the international market, Namco Bandai Games recently released The Idolm@ster Shiny Festa on iOS devices via the North American App Store.
