Oh how I miss the days when Pokemon still had the whole “Gotta Catch ’em All” vibe, where it was actually practical to capture all 150/151… or heck even 251 Pokemon. Now with Pokemon X/Y on the horizon, marking the series first release exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS, we are greeted with the prospect of not only the 649 Pokemon from the first five generations but another set of them to make the prospect of catching them all even more daunting and impractical.
We have been introduced to a few new ones for this generation including legendary Pokemon Yveltal and Xerneas, a new Eevee evolution and new selectable Pokemon Froakie, Fennekin and Chespin. Now we have another Pokemon… only this one has no name yet and looks oddly familiar to #150 Mewtwo and #151 Mew. Are we going to see the continuation of the Mewtwo storyline with this game? Opportunity for yet another Pokemon movie? Just a coincidence? Time shall tell…..
