It was recently announced that as part of their collection of 20th Anniversary titles, Nippon Ichi Software would return to one of their more popular titles from the last – Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (Makai Senki Disgaea – 魔界戦記ディスガイア). As they have already released the game on the Playstation 2, Playstation Portable and a rather unmemorable Nintendo DS port, they are set to release Disgaea Dimension 2 (or Disgaea D2) as a sequel of sorts taking place after the events of the original and giving Laharl, Etna and Flonne another chance to become main characters.
Along with a teaser trailer, the company also released a number of screenshots for the game, showcasing the visuals which seem to be at least on-par with Disgaea 4, some of the gameplay and a selection of artwork.
The game is set for release in Japan on the 20th March 2013. NIS America have yet to announce an English localization of this title but I think we can expect one sooner rather than later.
