While it was perhaps one of Etrian Odyssey’s less exciting features that has been in the game since the first installment, it is one of the features that sets the game apart from most standard dungeon crawling RPG’s. Most of the labyrinth’s in Etrian Odyssey are maze-like in nature but to make matters more difficult the game does not include any built-in maps, leaving you as the gamer to draw them on the touch-screen as you navigate the world from the top screen.
