Meet the Arnold Family – Holders of the Guinness World Record for the Largest Competitive Pokemon Video Game Family

-

In terms of personal world records, you usually see people getting in boxes filled with bugs, riding the worlds tiniest unicycle or having the longest nose hair, however this is one record I am sure many of us gamers can relate to. Meet the Arnold family from Frankfort, Illinois in the USA. These five family members have been featured in the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition 2012 as the largest competitive Pokemon video game family with everyone from mother to youngest daughter taking par in world championships for the game.

Pokemon has been a highly successful video game franchise for both Nintendo and Game Freak since the original Gameboy releases of Pokemon Red, Green (Japan-only) and Blue and has since then spawned into countless RPG and spin-off releases on the GBA, Nintendo DS, N64, Gamecube and Nintendo Wii.
