A Few Things from NISA

-

Yesterday, NISA held a special press event, and whilst sadly I was unable to attend due to both age (Apparently you need to be 21 versus my 19) and it was held at the other side of the world, news is trickling in about their latest announcements. First off, the video above is a newly unveiled English Trailer of the game, including information on the limited edition at the end of it. Overall, the trailer was full on and showed a lot of the systems in place within the game, however unlike their other trailers for other games, they do not specifically show the systems and just add bits and pieces to the footage of the video. Voice acting seems pretty decent from what they showed however. For those interested in getting the limited edition of the game, I would suggest either purchasing it from the official NISA store (Found Here – Without Calendar) or (Found Here – With Calendar) or alternatively, if they pre-order out or you prefer to purchase from somewhere else, Play-asia (Click Here). A small notice for those who are still interested in Hyperdimension Neptunia on the other hand, it seems like the NISA Store and Play-asia have both run out of pre-order stock, therefore finding a copy of the first print edition may be especially hard unless you find an online or offline store that still has some pre-order places left.

The second major product they have announced is their first 3DS title called Cave Story 3D which is a project between both Nippon Ichi Software America and Nicalis (A company I have never heard of before however seem to have some interesting works under their belt). The game has originally been released for the PC and WiiWare, however it seems that this time around, the game is getting a major revamp alongside the 3D touches, so it looks promising. After the jump is a press release for the game:

A Few Things from NISA 1

Cave Story 3D is a side scrolling action adventure game inspired by the fanfavorite 2D original. Now in a full 3D world, Cave Story takes the proven 2D action, exploration into stereoscopic awesomeness. You wake up in a cave with no idea who you are or where you came from, but you know you must help a cute race of rabbit-like creatures beat the crap out of some crusty old doctor. As you advance through the game, you’ll learn the origin of the Mimiga world and even your own. Like the critically acclaimed Pixel masterpiece, Cave Story 3D is a combination of high-speed shooting action scenes with heavy emphasis on platforming, exploration, light puzzle solving as well as a deep storyline.

Not much in terms of visuals seems to be available, however one of the images that has been going around can be seen below.

A Few Things from NISA 2

This game is currently slated to be released during the Summer of this year (or Winter 2011 for Aussies), and will be published by NISA in America. Currently no European or Aussie distributors have been announced, but I am sure they will be announced soon. Personally, I have been resisting even contemplating purchasing a 3DS, as I didnt really want to buy into the “gimmick”, however this game, alongside Devil Survivor Overclock may just convince me to eventually purchase one…. provided that they both get Australian releases or I purchase a US 3DS.
