Following its West End run, comedy production Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is set to tour Australia in 2026. The production will open at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre on 18 June before heading to the Sydney Opera House, Wollongong, Canberra, and Brisbane in the months that follow.
Audiences should go in expecting a bold and playful reimagining of Jane Austen’s timeless tale of love and social status. Adapted by Isobel McArthur, the show puts a modern spin on Pride and Prejudice, aiming to mix humour, heart, and music in an irreverent yet affectionate retelling where men, money, and microphones all come into play.
The production is written by Isobel McArthur after Jane Austen, directed by McArthur with co-director Simon Harvey, and produced by Neil Gooding Productions and Woodward Productions in association with David Pugh Limited.
