Illusionist and Australia’s Got Talent finalist Michael Boyd will bring his large-scale magic and illusion show Mystique – A Journey Beyond Reality to Brisbane for the first time this weekend. The exclusive five-show season will take place at Brisbane Powerhouse from 11 to 13 April 2025.
Mystique aims to deliver a high-impact theatrical experience, featuring grand illusions, levitations, transformations, and high-stakes escapes, developed by the same creative minds behind David Copperfield’s productions. Among the highlights is The Scorpion, a Las Vegas-imported illusion said to be Boyd’s most dangerous to date, reportedly valued at over $50,000.

After playing to SOLD OUT shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth we are all so excited to bring MYSTIQUE to Brisbane for the very first time!
I absolutely love Brisbane audiences! They are so responsive to magic and love being a part of the show, the kids just love to get involved and come up on stage and become the stars of the show. After we brought CIRCUS OF ILLUSION to the Powerhouse last year and were overwhelmed with requests to stay longer and include more magic and more illusions, and more crowd involvement, we are back with MYSTICQUE to scratch the city’s itch!
The Powerhouse is the prefect venue for Magic as it’s intimate enough to be up close with the illusions and has all the state of the art staging and lighting to make it spectacular.
The magic of theatre is added with spectacular dancer routines and costumes that rival any Las Vegas review, with feathers, sequins, jewels and more. Plus, we’ll take you on a magical journey thru Asia, India, Africa and Paris! Gold Coast artist and dancer Megan Chadwick (a former Le Moulin Rouge Dancer) has worked with me for over 10 years and is Dance Captain, so it’s a great opportunity for her to say hi to family and Queensland friends!
