Citing “unprecedented demand”, additional performances have been announced for the final ever The Wharf Revue, titled The End of the Wharf As We Know It!!!. Originally set to conclude earlier, the show will now run from 11 November to 23 December 2024 at the Seymour Centre, marking the last chance for audiences to witness this political satire. There will be no extensions past this date however.
Featuring a cast of political figures from both the past and present, the final show promises appearances from regulars such as Paul Keating, John Howard, Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott, and more, alongside newer political faces like Jacqui Lambie, Pauline Hanson, Adam Bandt, Peter Dutton, and Anthony Albanese.
The End of the Wharf As We Know It!!! is written by Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe, and Phillip Scott, who also serve as the directors and musical director, respectively. Performers include Biggins, Mandy Bishop, Forsythe, Scott, and David Whitney. After 25 years in the spotlight, The Wharf Revue team has decided to step away from the stage. It’s an opportunity to spend more time with family… We’ll serve one last term to max out the super and then try to pick up some kind of consultancy work or do a series of Survivor – look, it’s too early to say but it has been an honour to serve the Australian people.
