With the uncertainty around major touring productions that usually grace the bigger performing arts stages, it is not surprising that the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) may have quieter periods in some of their venues. But while the variety may not be there otherwise, they are clearly finding ways to put their stages to the best of uses. It has today been announced that musical theatre students from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) will have an opportunity to perform on QPAC’s biggest stage – the Lyric Theatre. QPAC and QCGU will be bringing a limited-season run of Grease to the Lyric Theatre stage in November 2021 – with the cast consisting of approximately 70 students in lead and ensemble roles.

The QPAC season will run in the Lyric Theatre from 10 November 2021 until 13 November 2021 (six shows only). Tickets are now being sold online and via QTIX (136 246) at set prices of $69.00 per seat or $49.00 if you are a concession card holder. This is set pricing, so it is first in best dressed, rather than having seating reserves dictating the price.
