Sydney audiences will have five additional weeks to see A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, with its season at the Sydney Lyric Theatre extended through to 14 February 2027. Producers Paul Dainty AO and TEG Dainty, Ken Davenport and Bob Gaudio have announced the final release of Sydney tickets, citing audience demand for the extension. Presales have begun, with general public sales opening on Friday 25 September through Ticketmaster.
Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond, A Beautiful Noise traces the singer-songwriter’s journey from his childhood in Brooklyn to an international music career. Its catalogue includes “Cracklin’ Rosie”, “Forever in Blue Jeans” and “Sweet Caroline”.
Broadway performer Will Swenson leads the Australian cast as Neil Diamond (Then), bringing his performance in the role to Australia for the first time. Terence Crawford plays Neil Diamond (Now), with Ashleigh Rubenach as Marcia Murphey, Monica Sayers as Doctor and Alana Tranter as Jaye Posner.
The principal cast also includes Tim Wright as Fred Weintraub and Tommy O’Rourke, Paul Hanlon as Bert Berns and Kieve Diamond, and Hannah Fredericksen as Ellie Greenwich and Rose Diamond. Rob Mallett is the standby for Neil Diamond (Then), while Mark Owen Taylor covers Neil Diamond (Now), Fred Weintraub, Tommy O’Rourke, Bert Berns and Kieve Diamond.
Performing as “The Beautiful Noise” ensemble are Katrina Bickerton, Cameron Davey, Paul Leandre Escorrido, Matt Hourigan, Alana Iannace, Joshua Kobeck, Etuate Lutui, Jordan Malone, Isabella Roberts and Sophie Tzioumis. Lutui also performs as the “Shilo” soloist. Jerome Javier, Anna Mallows, James Maxfield, Emma Wilby and Erica Wild complete the company as swings.
