Six the Musical to Announce New Australian Tour on 22 June

Six the Musical was another example of an Australian performing arts tour being impacted by COVID-19. But with things getting to the point where venues can (somewhat reliably) open again, the Australian producers of the musical have invited everyone to tune into their official Facebook page on Tuesday 22 June 2021 at 4.00pm for a “Premiere Broadcast Event”.

While the contents of this live-streamed “special royal announcement” have not been shared, it is likely to involve the announcement of a second Australian tour. Presumably, this will include states which never got to see it during its first tour – like us here in Queensland.

The Australian tour of Six the Musical is being presented by Louise Withers, Michael Coppel & Linda Bewick. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power. These Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red.
