Less Than A Week After Cast Announcement, New Tickets Go On-Sale for Hamilton the Musical Australia

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic which crippled the performing arts industry, many are clearly awaiting the opportunity to get back into the questionably comfortable theatre chairs to enjoy a night of live performance. And from March 2021, many in Sydney will be able to enjoy one of the most sought after performances in Broadway history. The producers at Michael Cassel Group last year announced they would be working on an Australian production of Hamilton the Musical, and last week announced the diverse cast they have brought on-board to portray the lead characters and the sizable ensemble.

Turns out that there has been an increased demand for tickets. While initially only offering tickets from 17 March 2021 until 1 August 2021, the ticket purchase window has in recent days been expanded to September 2021. So if you are worried about whether it will be possible or practical to travel to Sydney in March to see Hamilton the Musical, you can now book almost a year in advance now!

Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster Australia, with varying pries depending on preferred seating reserve, chosen session and any VIP packages you may wish to purchase.

Hamilton the Musical is due to open into previews at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from Wednesday 21 March 2021, and is due to open officially on Saturday 27 March 2021. First performed on Broadway in 2015, the show features book, music and lyrics written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, with direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision/orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. The Australian season is being presented by the talented team at Michael Cassel Group, who are also behind the Melbourne-exclusive season of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and are developing a new work based on the music on INXS.

Alternatively if you are unable to make it down to Sydney to see a performance for whatever reason, a recording of the show’s original Broadway cast can be watched through the Disney+ video-on-demand subscription service.
