With more news expected today, Opera Australia have confirmed that in the wake of recent recommendations by the Australian Federal Government, performances of Carmen, Attila and Great Opera Hills at the Sydney Opera House will be cancelled from 16-28 March 2020. Information pertaining to other seasons including Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour – La Traviata and other future seasons are due to be shared today.

At the direction of the government, we’ve cancelled performances of Carmen, Attila and Great Opera Hits at the Sydney Opera House from 16–28 March 2020.
If you have tickets for a cancelled performance, you’ll receive an email with further details about how to refund or exchange your tickets in due course.
We’ll have an update about Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour — La Traviata and other upcoming productions on Monday.
