New Faces to Join the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Cast in its Second Year

More than a year has passed since Michael Cassel Group kicked off performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child exclusively at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. Now in its second year, some of the cast will be leaving the Australian production, others will be graduating into more lead roles and others will be making their first trip to Hogwarts from tomorrow.

Michael Cassel Group have confirmed that Michael Whalley will be joining the cast as Ron Weasley, while Nyx Calder will serve as Scorpius Malfoy. Gareth Reeves (Harry Potter), Paula Arundell (Hermione Granger), Lucy Goleby (Ginny Potter nee Weasley), Tom Wren (Draco Malfoy), Sean Rees-Wemyss (Albus Potter) and Manali Datar (Rose Granger-Weasley) will all return in their original roles; while Gillian Cosgriff and Jessica Vickers will move into the roles of Delphi Diggory and Moaning Myrtle. Also joining the company is Lucy Ansell, Hannah Fredericksen, Helen Howard and Naomi Rukavina in unspecified roles.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series, which has been created by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It takes place after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with a particular focus on Albus Severus Potter, the son of Harry Potter and Ginny Potter (nee Weasley).

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is split over two parts, each of which have an individual price from $65.00 AUD to $155.00AUD standalone, or two part packages (including VIP packages) ranging from $130.00 AUD to $540.00 AUD. It is highly recommended (and I would second this) that you book a two-part package, which are typically spread over either a single day (Matinee Part 1 and Evening Part 2) or over two days (Evening Part 1 and Evening Part 2). As with any theatrical production with different price reserves, a higher price may indicate a closer / more central view of the stage.
