We’re The Wiggles! I’m Greg, I’m Murray, I’m Jeff and I’m Anthony
These words were ones which could get young toddler Sam immediately hyped up in their early years. From the VHS recordings which became worn out from over-watching, the cassette tapes which played on loop for hours on end and a personal childhood highlight getting to see them perform live – The Wiggles was a key part of my and surely many others early childhood development in 90s Australia.
The original line-up for The Wiggles was Yellow Wiggle: Greg Page, Red Wiggle: Murray Cook, Blue Wiggle: Anthony Field and Purple Wiggle: Jeff Fatt – all of whom entertained their young audiences with clever, catchy songs which drew from their professional experience as childhood early childhood educators. Three of the four have since moved on from the group, but it still remains a juggernaut to this day. Their earliest fans are now grown adults, who might seem out-of-place at a normal Wiggles concert. But this changed a couple of years back when the original performers began running the occasional adult-only reunion performances at venues across Australia.
With all proceeds going to The Australian Red Cross & Wires – Greg, Murray, Anthony and Jeff will be performing at the Castle Hill RSL Club on 18 January 2020, 7.00pm as part of a Bush Fire Relief Reunion concert. As implied, all money raised through ticket sales ($35.00 per person) and merchandise will be going to assist with those affected by the bushfires across Australia. This is set to be an over 18s show.
Tickets will go on sale at 10.00 am on 7 January 2020, with ticket purchase information available via the Castle Hill RSL Club Official Website.
