As part of the annual International Series at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), acclaimed French dance company Ballet Preljocaj will be bringing their production of Snow White to the Lyric Theatre for its Australian premiere.

But the show needs children to perform the role of Young Snow White, meaning there has been an opportunity for young ballet dancers to be involved in this production. Handpicked by Ballet Preljocaj, dancing in the role of the young Snow White are four young Queenslanders; Lily Naylor (aged 7, from Joyner), Anya Macdonald (aged 6, from Highvale), Zara Strelen (aged 7, from Taigum) and Sienna-Rose Polestico (aged 6, from Warner).

These four will have an opportunity to perform alongside 24 other Ballet Preljocaj dancers, including fellow Australian Verity Jacobson who recently joined Ballet Preljocaj, and Emilie Lalande and Virginie Caussin who have recently been cast as Snow White for the QPAC season.

Ballet Preljocaj’s Snow White will be held in the QPAC Lyric Theatre from September 2nd – 11th. Tickets can still be booked via the QPAC website or by calling their box office on 136 246.
