It has been confirmed that tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne legs of We Will Rock You will be going on sale from tomorrow (Friday 9 October). These legs will represent the first and third legs of the shows tour, with the Sydney round set to begin on April 30 2016 at the Lyric Theatre and the Melbourne leg set to begin on August 30 2016 at the Regent Theatre. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster for both these shows, or by each theatre’s respective booking phone number.
Ticket sales for the Brisbane (July 3rd @ QPAC Lyric Theatre), Perth (November @ Crown Theatre) and Adelaide (January 2017 @ Festival Theatre) will go on sale at a later date.
Based on the songs of Queen and with a book by Ben Elton, We Will Rock You has been designed as a “hilarious futurist comedy”, based around more than 24 of Queen’s biggest hits. Some of these songs include: We are the Champions, Radio Ga Ga, I Want to Break Free, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Don’t Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust and We Will Rock You.
The 2016 Australian tour of We Will Rock You is being produced by John Frost, in association with Queen Theatrical Productions, Phil McIntyre Entertainment and Tribeca Theatrical Productisons.
