The Rocky Horror Show made its rounds in Brisbane, Perth Adelaide and Melbourne during 2014, and is set to be performed in both Sydney (April) and Melbourne (June as an encore) this year. But with a new year upon us, the production team have confirmed who will be performing whom in these upcoming performances.
Craig McLachlan will be reprising his role as the lead character Dr Frank n Furter. The other main characters, the naive young couple Brad and Janet who are thrown into the unique events presented in the musical, will be performed by Stephen Mahy (Grease, Jersey Boys) and Amy Lehpamer (once, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) respectively.
Reprising his role as Riff Raff, Frank’s loyal handyman, which he’s played across the world will be Kristian Lavercombe, while his sister Magenta will be played by Jayde Westaby, who has previously been involved in The Rocky Horror Show’s UK tour.
Other members returning from the 2014 run include Nicholas Christo as Eddie and Dr Scott and Brendan Irving as the titular character Rocky. Other cast members include Angelique Cassimatis as Columbia, Bert Newton as the Narrator and the Phantoms represented by Meghan O’Shea, Suzanne Steele, Darren Tyler and Drew Weston. All these performers will be supported by the Swing/Dance Captain Nicholas Eaton.
