Cel-Shaded Humanoid Ships – Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo

Photographs in the Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo series have typically covered three games to-date: Final Fantasy XIV, Star Citizen and Second Life. It is time to welcome yet another game to the fold as this series begins diversifying its offerings a little bit more. Published just the other day in English by Idea Factory International, Compile Heart’s Azur Lane: Crosswave features a dedicated photo mode, granting players the ability to take photos of up to three humanoid ships together in a combination of poses.

Featuring three of the game’s 29 playable characters: Shimakaze, Ayanami and Yukikaze; this is an example of a simple photograph which can be taken using the photo mode. I look forward to playing around with it much more, and eventually covering it in the main Take That (In-Game) Snap series.

Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo is an off-shoot of the Take That (In-Game) Snap article series, in which the first article focusing on Final Fantasy XIV was recently published. This looks at, celebrates and critiques how video game developers have implemented professional photography-like systems into their games. It will cover how the systems handle, just how accessible they are and, where applicable, how a modding community might be making these tools even better. With this Daily Photo spin-off series, I will be sharing individual photos from the games either covered or soon-to-be-covered in the series.
