Merry Christmas From The Otaku’s Study

Let’s not beat around the bush, 2020 has been one for the record books for all the wrong reasons. After beginning 2020 with a good portion of Australia affected by major bushfires, we were forced to go into quarantine for many weeks, if not months, depending on which state you lived in due to the pandemic. Cinemas were closed, performing arts venues shut down, events were postponed or indefinitely delayed and much more.

This year has also, quite frankly, not been the best for me either – with a lot of real-life crap from 2019 continuing to rear its ugly head and make my life challenging. I am sorry for the random disappearances and days of radio silence that have resulted from that.

But while there is still a lot to be done in 2021 for the world to go back to the standard normal rather than the “new normal” we have all been forced into, I hope everyone can safely take a couple of days rest, enjoy some good food and have a jolly laugh or two during this Christmas period.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and look forward to welcoming you back post-Christmas for more end-of-year posts, reviews and more!
