First of all…. Happy New Year! I hope that 2018 proves to be a year full of happiness and success for everyone! While the latter half of 2017 proved to be slow for The Otaku’s Study, I aspire to put a lot more time and resources into this site as it celebrates its twelfth anniversary in May.

While I am still working towards a more in-depth plan for the future, I would like to outline some of the reviews I am working on to hopefully have released in the next week. Many of these are carry-overs from my update last month which I was unable to complete due to some major unexpected time constraints.

Playlink (Series) from Sony Interactive Entertainment

Mini-Reviews of four titles currently available in the PlayStation 4 PlayLink line of titles: That’s You, Knowledge is Power, SingStar Celebration and Hidden Agenda,

.hack//G.U. Last Recode (PS4) from Bandai Namco Entertainment

Marking the 15th Anniversary of the .hack video game series, Bandai Namco Entertainment have released the .hack//G.U. Trilogy in HD on the PlayStation 4, with an all-new fourth chapter. How does this (never-before released in Australia) PlayStation 2 classic fare nowadays?

BONUS: Unboxing of .hack//G.U. Last Recode (PS4) Japan-Exclusive Special Edition

Charlotte (DVD/Blu-ray) from Madman Entertainment

In a very small number of young boys and girls, the onset of puberty brings with it special abilities beyond mortal ken. Yū Otosaka has one such ability and he uses his power to live a fairly normal, average school life. Suddenly in front of Yū a girl named Nao Tomori appeared and due to this chance meeting the fate of special power-users will be exposed.
