North American manga and light novel publisher Seven Seas Entertainment have confirmed their plans to release an omnibus edition of L. Frank Baum’s classic novels: ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ and ‘The Marvelous Land of Oz’.
While retaining the original story which has spawned films, television shows, spin-off novels and stage musicals of spin-off novels, this new omnibus will feature manga-inspired illustrations by artist Kriss Sison. Sison previously illustrated Seven Seas Entertainment’s omnibus edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
Available from April 19 2016 at a price of $14.99 US / $16.99 CAN, this book will be a four-hundred-page collection containing L. Frank Baum’s original text along with: over one hundred black-and-white full-page and spot illustrations, two full-colour spreads, four full-colour single-page pin-ups and a new colour map of Oz.

Our previous illustrated novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, was a big hit and we’re so proud of how it turned out. We can’t wait to show readers what we and Kriss Sison have in store for the Wizard of Oz. Alice in Wonderland actually went viral in Japan thanks to Kriss’s artwork, and went on to become a #1 bestselling book in Amazon Japan’s Western Book category!
