While the wait continues to discover which films will be featured at this year’s annual Gold Coast Film Festival, the production team have unveiled some of the special events taking place during the festival. These events will be spread out across its home venue, HOTA: Home of the Arts, and at venues across the Gold Coast.
First of all, many iconic Gold Coast Film Festival events will be returning. This includes the Floating Cinema (This time involving a screening of The Hangover), the three-hour movie locations tour, the Women in Film Lunch presented by Screen Queensland with a yet-to-be-announced guest speaker and SIPFest: Australia’s Short Film Festival held on Surfers Paradise Beach.
Got a young one who wants to learn? Three workshops aimed at kids 8-14 years old will be on offer, providing experience in how to shoot short films, act for film and “The Art of Foley”.
