Underway right now until tomorrow evening, Bandai Spirits are hosting their annual Tamashii Nation festival right now, featuring more than 500 figures from across their line-up. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not practical for people to travel to the festival, so instead, the usually live festivities have been converted into a virtual festival.
Tamashii Nations is a unified product brand for adult collectors, encompassing a large number of figures and robots. On display during this event are new creations based on significant franchises including Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Dragon Ball, Gundam and Demon Slayer. Of particular focus during this year’s festivities are the “Soul of Chogokin” as its Robot Exhibition and “S.H. Figuarts” as its Figure Exhibition.
On offer is a VR exhibition hall, offering 360-degree panoramas of the figures on display, video streaming of new product announcements and more via the official event website.

Robot Exhibitions
Soul of Chogokin Special Exhibitions
The Soul of Chogokin brand was established in 1997, created as die-cast metal toys. The new animated TV show “Getter Robo Arc” which is the final chapter of Getter Robo Saga by Dynamic Pro will be featured. From Pacman, this year marks its 40th anniversary, with them announcing the “Chogokin Pacman”.
New animated TV show “BACK ARROW”
During the festival, they are due to announce several new products: “THE ROBOT SPIRITS MUGA” for ANIPLEX’s new animated TV show “BACK ARROW” (starts on TV in January 2021). They will also have a special virtual panel having guests as an animation director Goro Taniguchi and a scriptwriter Kazuki Nakashima.
Figure Exhibitions
KAMEN RIDER’s 50th anniversary project for “S.H.Figuarts” series
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider. With 400 Kamen Rider figures released in the S.H.Figuarts series to this point, all will be on display. Furthermore, new products will make their first appearance.
“Demon Slayer” product lineup
The first ever official life-size replicate of Tanjiro Kamado’s Nichirin Sword from Proplica will be on display.
New brand “TAMASHII STUDIO PREMIUM”
Also announced and showcased during this event is the new Tamashii Studio Premium brand. Delivering pre-painted statues, the first figure from this brand will be based around Ultraman Zero
