Kicking off their announcements for 2014, the international artbook publisher Udon Entertainment have announced their plans to release a series of English localized artbooks surrounding Type-Moon’s Fate/Stay Night visual novel series beginning from June 2014.
These releases will begin with Fate/Complete Material Volume 1: Art Material which will feature over 200 pages of illustrations from the original 2004 visual novel release. With additional volumes to be released every 3-4 months, Udon have confirmed that they aim at collecting all the illustrations, character designs and concept material from the original Fate/Stay Night release for these books, in addition to a wealth of cutscene illustrations, pin-ups and promotional and advertising artwork.
However the potential for future titles seems to rely on the popularity of this first release, with Udon claiming:
UDON strongly urges fans to pre-order Fate/Complete Material Volume 1: Art Material, as sales of this volume will help determine availability of future volumes!
Meaning that unless they meet a sales target, the artbook releases may be stopped prematurely.
