Crunchyroll has outlined its New York Comic Con 2026 program, with panels for The Apothecary Diaries, Black Clover, Sentenced to be a Hero and BLACK TORCH, alongside advance anime screenings and activities across two exhibition booths.
The schedule begins with the Crunchyroll Showcase on Thursday, 8 October at 3.30 pm in Room 405. The presentation will feature anime announcements, previews and world premiere trailers. On Friday, 9 October, The Apothecary Diaries will take over Room 409 at 12.15 pm. Aoi Yuki and Takeo Otsuka, the Japanese voices of Maomao and Jinshi, will recreate scenes from the series and discuss their experiences performing the characters. Later that day, Sentenced to be a Hero will feature in Room 405 at 6.30 pm. Original author Rocket Shokai and original illustrator Mephisto will join Yohei Azakami and Mayu Iizuka, the Japanese voices of Xylo and Teoritta, to discuss the adaptation from page to screen.
Black Clover returns after nearly five years, with a Season 2 special screening scheduled for Saturday, 10 October at 12.45 pm on the Empire Stage. Gakuto Kajiwara and Dallas Reid, who voice Asta in Japanese and English respectively, will share stories from behind the scenes and take part in a live dubbing session. The Empire Stage will also host BLACK TORCH on Sunday, 11 October at noon. English voice actors AJ Beckles, who plays Jiro Azuma, and Keith Silverstein, who plays Rago, will revisit the series’ action, humour and standout moments.
Beyond the panels, Crunchyroll will offer early screenings of several titles ahead of their wider release, including:
- Dengeki Daisy: Episode 1
- Firefly Wedding: Episode 1
- Here U Are: Episodes 1 and 2
- Shangri-La Frontier Season 3: Episodes 1 and 2
On the exhibition floor, Crunchyroll’s Booth #1653 will feature a Black Clover photo opportunity and a Witch Hat Atelier activity built around the series’ pen-drawn magic. Nearby, Booth #1643 will mark one year since the launch of Crunchyroll Manga. Visitors will be able to use tablets to explore the app’s catalogue, which Crunchyroll says has doubled in size since last year and includes titles from leading publishers.
