The Los Angeles Dodgers have partnered with anime studio Toei Animation for a special ONE PIECE promotional event, set to take place at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, 3 July 2025. The event will coincide with the Dodgers’ 7:10 p.m. game against the Chicago White Sox.
This collaboration marks the latest example of ONE PIECE’s presence in the sporting scene – including a similar event at Fenway Park earlier this month. Produced by Toei Animation and based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, ONE PIECE has spanned over two decades, evolving into a media franchise that includes 15 feature films, video games, a trading card game, and a wide range of merchandise and themed attractions.
Fans attending the game will be treated to various themed activations throughout the stadium. As part of the promotion, the first 40,000 ticketed guests will receive a ONE PIECE co-branded straw hat, distributed at entry points while supplies last. The evening will conclude with a post-game drone show, featuring visuals of characters from the anime.
Lon Rosen, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Los Angeles Dodgers, said the partnership brings together two major entertainment fanbases:
This exciting partnership between the Dodgers and Toei Animation will bring a fun-filled event to Dodger Stadium. It’s great to showcase ONE PIECE, one of the most popular franchises in the world, to the best fan base in the world.
Lisa Yamatoya, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Toei Animation Inc., also shared her enthusiasm:
We’re thrilled to partner with the Los Angeles Dodgers to bring the global hit series ONE PIECE to Dodger Stadium on July 3 for a very special one-day promotion. We invite fans to join us for ONE PIECE Night, which will offer a truly memorable, one-of-a-kind entertainment experience, complete with a not-to-be-missed ONE PIECE drone show after the game!
