While there are now many legal means of watching the latest and (potentially) greatest anime releases straight from Japan, sometimes it is nice to own a DVD or Blu-ray copy of your favourite shows – with comfort that changing licensing arrangement may mean you are no longer able to watch a particular show when that need-to-binge arises. While publishing of anime in Australia has more or less moved from Madman Anime to CrunchyRoll Australia (Although distribution still appears to be via Madman Entertainment), we are still receiving a decent number of home video releases each month.
