Continuing to build upon their line-up for Japan’s Summer 2017 anime season, North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks have recently confirmed they now hold the rights to Made in Abyss. This series will be available exclusively through Amazon Channels’ on-demand anime subscription service ‘Anime Strike’.
Made in Abyss features animation by Kinema Citrus, whose past work includes Black Bullet, Barakamon and Is the Order a Rabbit??. Individuals involved in the project include Masayuki Kojima (Director) and Hideyuki Kurata (Series Composition).
About Made in Abyss
The “Abyss” is the last unexplored region, an enormous and treacherous cave system filled with ancient relics and strange creatures. Only the bravest of adventurers can traverse its depths, earning them the nickname, “Cave Raiders.” Within the depths of the Abyss, an orphaned girl named Rico stumbles upon a robot who looks like a young boy. Tantalized by the mysteries of the Abyss, Rico and her new friend descend into uncharted territory to unlock its mysteries, but what lies in wait for them in the darkness?
