Sentai Filmworks Bring Twelve Anime Feature Films to Steam 1
Children Who Chase Lost Voices

Although Steam is primarily a digital distribution platform for video games, it is clearly a lot more versatile than just allowing downloads of purchased video games. One company highlighting this is Sentai Filmworks, the North American anime licensor and distributor who have a number of TV anime and animated feature film licenses under their belt.

Steam users in select regions will be able to stream a number of “classic” and “fan-favorite” anime feature films. These films will be available in Japanese with English subtitles and/or English dubbed versions. This partnership will allow them to bring anthology compilations such as Short Peace, remastered films such as Ninja Scroll (1993), and major films such as the emotional rollercoaster Grave of the Fireflies from Studio Ghibli.

Other films to be available on Steam as a purchasable stream include: Children Who Chase Lost Voices, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, The Garden of Words, K-On! The Movie, Hakuoki – Theatrical Version, Chapter 2: Warrior Spirit of the Blue Sky, Loups=Garous, Mardock Scramble: The First Compression, Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion, and Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust.
