Madman Entertainment Begin Simulcasting My Hero Academia via AnimeLab

As part of their Spring 2016 (or Autumn 2016) anime simulcast line-up, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have confirmed they hold the rights to My Hero Academia (Boku no Hiirou Akademia | 僕のヒーローアカデミア). This is a brand new anime adaptation directed by Kenji Nagasaki, animated by Bones and based on the ongoing manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi.

My Hero Academia is a superhero origin story which follows Izuku – a boy who has dreamt of being a hero all his life. While this is an ambitious goal for anyone with super powers, he is a kid who has absolutely no special ability. Once you factor in that 80% of the world’s population have some kind of superpowered quirk, this goal would be incredibly difficult to achieve. . But that’s not going to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies. Now, the only thing standing between him and his first class is the academy’s formidable entrance exam – which nothing a little private tutoring from the world’s mightiest hero can’t solve… right?

My Hero Academia is being streamed via the AnimeLab video-on-demand service right now, however is only available to those who possess a premium membership. If you have a membership, click HERE to watch Episode 1, otherwise visit the AnimeLab website for more information.
