Kadokawa Animation has today announced that special episodes of My Happy Marriage, also known as Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon, will premiere worldwide exclusively on Netflix on 25 October 2026. A Netflix page is already live, with subscribers already able to watch the first two seasons in their completion.
Kashitaro Ito will return to perform the ending theme, titled “Just before the Prelude 〜for me&you〜”. The song takes a warmer and more upbeat direction than the themes used for the anime’s first two seasons, with an early preview included in the teaser. Ito wrote the lyrics for the new song, while EFFY handled its composition and arrangement.
Set during Japan’s Taisho era, My Happy Marriage follows Miyo Saimori, voiced by Reina Ueda. Born without apparent supernatural abilities, Miyo suffers mistreatment from her father, stepmother and sister before becoming engaged to the powerful Kiyoka Kudo, voiced by Kaito Ishikawa. As their relationship develops, Miyo begins to discover her true identity and hidden powers. The series is adapted from the light novels written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka.
