DuRaRaRa!! x2

While things have been a little bit quite from Australian anime publisher Siren Visual in terms of releases so far this year, the company have confirmed plans to release two anticipated titles in the March – April launch window. This includes something very new, and something a little bit older but given the Blu-ray treatment. You can find information on both titles below:

DuRaRaRa!! x2 (Part 1)
DVD/Blu-ray | $44.95 for Either Format | Dual Audio | Classified M

Six months after the turmoil that rocked the entire city of Ikebukuro, peace has once again returned to the city and people are living each day in normality… The high schools students enjoy their days of youth as the strongest and most dangerous man of Ikebukuro works diligently. The informant plots a new scheme and the headless rider is pursued by the cops as she rides through the night… But soon this normality will be cut short by the abnormal. Slowly but surely, the unknown will seize the city and face an all new storm!

Part 1 of DuRaRaRa!! x2 will come with the first twelve episodes, compared to the United States which only receive the first six. However, this collection does not contain the OVA episode, which is at least now considered an “exclusive extra” on the US edition. This collection will be available on store shelves in approximately mid-March 2016.

Perfect Blue
Blu-ray | $34.95 | Dual Audio | Classified MA

Leaving the world of J-pop behind her, Mima Kirigoe begins life as an actress on a crime drama show called Double Blind. When offered a lead role in the show as a rape victim, Mima accepts the role despite reservations from her manager. However, the backlash from fans over her career change and a strange website called ‘Mima’s Room’ written by a fake Mima begin to worry her.  When a stalker appears and people involved in Double Blind begin turning up dead and all the evidence pointing to her, Mima is thrown into a state of confusion, madness and paranoia. Directed by the late Satoshi Kon and critically acclaimed as one of the finest examples of an animated thriller, Perfect Blue will leave you shocked and more than a little spooked.

This Blu-ray collection of Perfect Blue will be available in Australia and New Zealand starting sometime in April. Siren Visual have issued a warning that this Blu-ray will be encoded for Region B, and therefore might not play on devices outside of this region.
