After announcing their acquisition of the first season back in May 2015, North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks have announced that they now hold the rights to Re:␣Hamatora.
Once again based on the original manga series written by Yukino Kitajima and illustrated by Yuuki Kodama, this second season sees Seiji Kishi reprise his role as director. This is in addition to series composition handled by Jun Kumagi, sound direction by Satoki Iida in corporation with NAZ Inc. and animation production provided by Lerche.
Re:␣Hamatora is now available through select digital services in North America, with a home video release to follow at a later date.
This is what Sentai Filmworks had to say about the second season of Hamatora:
The first season was enveloped in mystery and came to a shocking end — but that was only the beginning. It’s been three months since the Yokohama Riots, and the Hamatora detectives believe things are back to normal. But these troubled characters, still reeling from the events of last season, will have to reply when a mystery that was cloaked in darkness comes to light.
