NIS America Release Premium Edition Set for The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura

-

Closely following the launch of both A Lull in the Sea and My Little Monster in North America, Nippon Ichi Software America have today confirmed that their Premium Edition complete series collection for The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura (Aka. Kotoura-san / 琴浦さん) is now available for purchase.

Based on the original manga work by Enokizu, The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura is a 12-episode anime adaptation produced by animation studio AIC Classic in early-2013. It is a drama story centered around a young girl, Haruka Kotoura, who has the ability to read minds. From a young age, Haruka was isolated and abandoned by her parents because of her ability. However, all of this changes once she transfers to a new school and meets Yoshihisa Manabe, a guy whose thoughts match his words and actions. Upon realizing her ability, he often teases Haruka by thinking up ridiculous fantasies of her, but he encourages her to open up to others. With the aid of the ESP Research Society, the duo begin to learn that life can be full of happiness and laughter.

As with most Premium Edition sets for Nippon Ichi Software America, this collection is slightly more expensive with an MSRP of $64.99 USD. However in return, you also receive a hardcover art box and a 64-page hardcover artbook featuring character information, cast member interviews, full-colour illustrations and more.

The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura features direction by Masahiko Ohta, character designs by Takaharu Ohkuma and a screenplay by Takashi Aoshima. NIS America’s release only includes the original Japanese dub, with cast members including: Hisako Kanemoto (Haruka Kotoura), Jun Fukushima (Yoshihisa Manabe), Kana Hanazawa (Yuriko Mifune), Yurika Kubo (Hiyori Moritani) and Hiro Shimono (Daichi Muroto).
