Building upon the number of Japanese artists/musicians they have in attendance during their 2015 festivities, the Sydney Manga and Anime Show (SMASH!) team have confirmed LOVERIN TAMBURIN will be appearing as musical guest during this year’s SMASH! event on August 8 and 9.
Originally formed as ‘a • a’ back in 2001, Loverin Tamburin consists of main vocalist and songwriter Aya; pianist and arranger AKIHIRO; and support musicians Fujio Ryo (guitar, ex AJARI), Fire (guitar, ex SUPER TRAPP) and Kohta Igarashi (drums, ex JUDY AND MARY).
As anime fans may already know, Loverin Tamburin made their official debut in 2006 with the release of ‘Aishitageru’ – the official opening theme for the Disgaea anime. This then followed with their release of Nanatsuiro Drops’ ‘mo.o’ (2007) and the theme song for Hiroshima’s Toyo Carp baseball team ‘Mugen Fighter’.
Fans will have an opportunity to meet and watch Loverin Tamburin across the weekend. They will also be joining in with I LOVE ANISONG x SMASH!.
