Following their actions during the previous anime season, Funimation Entertainment have confirmed they will be doing a ‘Broadcast Dub’ for High School DxD BorN (Season 3), which is currently airing in Japan. While already four episodes into the series, these English dubbed episodes will be retrospectively released to complement the original Japanese dubbed episodes via the Funimation’s anime streaming service.

Fans of the English dub of Seasons 1 and 2 may be disappointed (or possibly glad) to know that there have been some changes made to the High School DxD cast. Josh Grelle and Kelly Angel are now taking on the roles of Issei and Akeno respectively. The remaining cast from past seasons including Jamie Marchi, Sean O’Connor and Jād Saxton will be returning for this season’s simulcast.

Justin Cook | Director of Production at Funimation

We have always tried incredibly hard to retain the original voice cast for our dubbed releases. However, there are instances where ‘life just gets in the way’, and this is one of those unfortunate situations. With that being said, we are proud to bring the talents of both Josh and Kelly into the cast, and though they have big shoes or bras, as the case may be, to fill, I believe our work this season will be the best ever, despite the changes and challenges.

With the exception of Alison Viktorin as Gasper who they have left off the list for some reason, the main English voice cast list for High School DxD BorN can be found below:

Issei – Josh Grelle
Rias – Jamie Marchi
Akeno – Kelly Angel
Kiba – Sean O’Connor
Koneko – Jād Saxton
Asia – Chloe Daniels
Yuma Amano – Felecia Angelle (one time flashback)
Matsuda – Tyson Rinehart
Motohama – Ruben Tadeo Garcia

No exact release date has been provided for the Broadcast dubs.
