Sentai Filmworks Acquire Rights to Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

-

Based on the Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou Ka / DanMachi (ダンジョンに出会いを求めるのは間違っているだろうか / ダンまち) light novel series by Fujino Oomori, Sentai Filmworks have acquired rights to its anime adaptation which is set to begin airing in Japan this month. Given the long Japanese title, the publisher will be streaming and publishing it under the official localized title: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.

This fantasy romantic comedy attempts to answer the question in its title, as one young adventurer seeks to meet the perfect girl in a labyrinth filled to the brim with mythical beasts and monsters. The series is being directed by Yoshiki Yamakawa, with series composition by Hideki Shirane, character designs provided by Shigeko Kimoto (Original designs by Suzuhito Yasuda) and art direction by Toshiharu Misutani. The animation itself will be performed by the team at J.C. Staff.

Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is set to be released on select anime streaming outlets later this month, with a home video release to follow.
