In a slight change of pace from all their recent “current season” anime acquisitions, Sentai Filmworks have confirmed they now hold the rights to Amagi Brilliant Park, a 13-episode anime series which aired between October and December 2014.
Adapted from the original light novel and manga series by Shoji Gatoh, Amagi Brilliant Park tells the story of a languishing amusement park in danger of closing forever. A reluctant hero is suddenly charged with saving the world of the mysterious inhabitants who reside in this park.
Amagi Brilliant Park is directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto, with series composition by Fumihiko Shimo, character designs by Miku Kadowaki, music by Shinkichi Mitsumune and animation by renown animation studio Kyoto Animation.
The series will be available via select video-on-demand services shortly, with a home video release to follow at an unspecified date in the future.
