Building upon earlier English-localized releases in the Hanasaku Iroha anime series, Nippon Ichi Software America have confirmed their Premium Edition launch of “Hanasaku Iroha the Movie ~ Home Sweet Home ~ in North America. Copies are now making their way out to those who have pre-ordered via the NISA Online Store, and alternate retailers should also have begun sending out copies.
As a Premium Edition release, this anime collection comes with the usual assortment of goods including a small set of on-disc extra content and the regular duo of hardcover artbox and artbook providing a look at illustrations, concept art, commentary and more. Similar to earlier TV season releases of Hanasaku Iroha, this will only be available on Blu-ray. The total cost is $49.99 for a total run-time of approximately 66 minutes.
In the days before the Bonbori Festival, Ohana’s friend Yuina comes to Kissuiso for training. While cleaning up after her, Ohana discovers a logbook kept by Beans from when her mother, Satsuki, was still a youth at Kissuiso. Through the logbook, Ohana catches a glimpse of her mother’s struggles, and realizes that maybe the two of them aren’t so different after all. Meanwhile, the rest of the inn staff are caught up in dealing with a blackout.
