Despite maintaining their March 19, 2014 release date for Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo well after Funimation Entertainment announced their own delays in the US, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have confirmed that both DVD and Blu-ray releases of the animated film will be delayed until an unspecified later date.
After being questioned about the reasoning by a fan, the publisher provided the following statement:
A delay was advised from the US release which had a domino effect for us.
Please keep an eye on The Otaku’s Study in the coming weeks and months for more information on a new release date. Both 1.11 and 2.22 are still available to purchase via the official Madman Entertainment website and retailers of anime across Australia and New Zealand.
A year on, and there still is no sign of a release.
All we have is some hint about February.
