Now a quarter of the way through their 12 Announcements of Christmas (#12AnnouncementsofXmas) campaign, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have announced their acquisition of High School of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead, a bonus OVA episode released for their 2012 release of High School of the Dead.
Unlike North America which received a physical release and unlike almost all of their current releases, the publisher have confirmed that this title will only be available through digital media outlets next year – and is unlikely to receive any form of DVD release. If anything, I would say it will be released physically as an extra to High School of the Dead 2 should it ever enter production phase.
